New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Training Project
NYSCADV offers a comprehensive Training Project which is funded by the
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). The primary goal of the project is
to increase the capacity of the over one hundred licensed and approved
domestic violence programs in New York State. NYSCADV trainings are developed
to provide attendees the tools to lead in their communities, hone advocacy
skills, collaborate effectively to improve coordination of services to
survivors of domestic violence, build cultural competency within an
anti-oppression framework, and privilege survivor safety and offender
accountability.
The (VAWA) supported NYSCADV Trainings
assist in the ongoing effort to strengthen the services of all New York
State Domestic Violence Programs. The training curriculum is comprised
of four distinct series to best accommodate the varying degrees of
professional experience held by domestic violence service providers.
Below is an abbreviated list NYSCADV's VAWA Trainings that will be held
