Prevention Summit 2023
This conference is the 9th Annual Prevention Summit hosted by the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault. This annual conference provides opportunities to share information and resources, advance learning, and increase our capacity to prevent sexual violence (SV) and intimate partner violence (IPV). Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about innovative community-based IPV and SV prevention strategies that are underway at the local, state, and national levels. This year’s conference focus is engaging men and working with youth, through an intersectional lens to prevention strategies in order to advance health equity and racial justice.

New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NYSCADV)
The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NYSCADV) is the only statewide domestic violence coalition in New York State. A recognized leader for over 40 years, NYSCADV works to ensure the provision of effective and appropriate services to survivors through community outreach, training, technical assistance, and policy development. The collective voices of survivors and advocates as expressed through NYSCADV strengthens public and private response and prioritizes domestic violence as a human rights issue.
New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NYSCASA)
NYSCASA is the only statewide sexual assault coalition in New York State. Since 1987, they have been a statewide nonprofit coalition of 83 community-based rape crisis programs. Their mission is to end all forms of sexual violence and exploitation, and to address the impacts of sexual assault on New Yorkers. They provide training, technical assistance, consultation, and resources to various stakeholders, including service providers, policymakers, victims/survivors, media, and the public-at-large. They work to improve public policy and systems that impact sexual violence intervention and prevention.
