NYSCASA & Seven Dancers Coalition-Haudenosaunee Creation Story and Lessons for Disrupting Violence in Our Communities
In this session, the Seven Dancers Coalition team shared a brief version of the Haudenosaunee Creation Story, streamlined into a concise webinar format. Speakers discussed the cultural value systems of Haudenosaunee peoples and demonstrate how sexual assault goes against traditional teachings. From studying the creation story, the community comes to better understand how we are all a part of sexual violence prevention and we all have a role to play in repairing harms done. NYSCASA revisits this recording with permission from Seven Dancers Coalition. We invite you to join us for a short discussion following the screening.
